Welcome to Bright Future Semi-Independent Living.

At Bright Future Semi-Independent Living we provide a combination of High and Low supported accommodation as well as independent step-down properties for young people aged 16 plus. The service is run by experienced managers and support staff who work to improve the experience of all young people who access our care, support and guidance.

Since 2018, Bright Future Living has gone above and beyond to give young people a brighter future. Working with a wide range of young people, including troubled children, care leavers, young teen parents and unaccompanied asylum seeking children, we provide high quality accommodation and one-to-one mentoring support to guide young people towards independence.

Education

Life skills are gained through a variety of life experiences such as engaging with family, friendships, educational establishments, institutions, professionals, following processes and even engaging with strangers. Due to the amount of information received each day it can at times feel overwhelming, disjointed, contradictory and confusing. Therefore, it is important to take the time to consider the information and to learn new experiences in a safe and nurturing way.

Employment

We recognise the crucial role that employment can play in developing the identity of some young people in care. We support our young people in seeking employment, help them to set goals for their own development and assist them in overcoming any particular skills deficiencies they may have.

It is necessary to keep young people’s aspirations high without being unrealistic. We therefore help young people not just in looking for work but in all the other areas that surround employment, including assessing options, preparation for interviews, purchase of specialist equipment and support around daily preparation for work.

Support

We provide transitional support into adult independence, enabling young people to gain valuable and sustainable independence skills. Our living facilities are comfortable and functional with each room furnished to a high standard, whilst the unit promotes a homely environment that is a structured and safe space for all.
